Vw split screen full re-trim.

Hello all here we have a great early split screen vw. With traditional tuck and roll style in leather cloth material , it made such a difference to the whole bus... This is the finished bus ready for the customer to pick up and to go to the beach love the paint colours.

This picture shows the 3/4 rock and roll bed and rear cushion in place and ready for some use. The rear luggage area  has been lined out as this area will also double up as what it was made for luggage .

This is the side door panel in two tone tuck and roll. With hidden fittings, no screws showing giving that clean look with a great colour match to the paint work.

                              

This shows the cab area roof  before the new head lining is fitted.

                                  

All done a new head ling fitted  and looking great. fitting these head linings takes many hours but is well worth the effort. 

This shows the cab area all finished, the full length bench seat trimmed in two tone vinyl  with plain kick boards.

                                         

This shows the front door card with matching two tone vinyl with hidden fixings as this customer did not want to see any screw fittings.

                                                         

Here we have the seat and door card all fitted and ready for many years of use enjoy.

                                                   

The rear  side panels all in place and ready for use. The rear area has to have some  units to be fitted by a company yet to be chosen but i am sure it will look great.

 

Sorry about the poor photo quality but i hope you can see the rock and roll bed with the matching upholstery to match the front seats and upholstered kick panel with speakers.

This shows this nice early bus with  all its early features like small rear lights and central light. 

All done and ready to go , the customer on the way to pick up this gorgeous bus.

Vw split screen complete re-trim

Hello all here we have some pictures of a beautiful vw split screen bus for a great customer Dusty,  I have upholstered. It looks modern but retro with a lovely two tone colour match to the paint work. The first picture shows the bus started out .

This is the bus before restoration ,  the bus was very solid but as you can see it needed a lot of tlc.

A big step forward , this shows the bus almost there and ready for its paint. 

Wow all done and shiny and looks great. Now its my turn.... Two weeks of hard work but with a great two tone colour  to match the out side .

Here you can see all the interior trim all laid out and ready to be fitted. many hours   of work to get it to this point..

This shows the bus coming together, the rear seats going in along with the door cards. I fitted these with my hidden fitting system. The rock and roll bed fitted and the headlining all in place.

In goes the rear facing seating unit ,along with all new flooring to match. this unit contained a pop up tv, a really  neat extra. You can see the cargo doors fitted, note no screws to been Seen .

Well all done.... this shows the head lining in all its glory with the pop-out television ready to show many hours of films. cool.

The two above photos show the front seats and rear rock and roll bed cushions, all ready to be fitted  great detail  and attention was paid to getting the lines all straight as you can see.

This shows the rear rock and roll cushion fitted in place, tailored to fit round the rear hatch lock.

 A close up photo of the inset in wood the vw logo.... very nice touch. This was also used on the table top which makes it all come together very nicely .

 This shows the upholstery all fitted in all its glory, with the speakers fitted along with flush mounted plug sockets .

The cab area all upholstered and looking great along with the new floor carpet edged in black with coir carpet.

                     You can see the table set in place with the vw logo in to match .looks real great.

           Just a little extra........ a retro flyer trolley painted to match with matching upholstery.... nice.

And there we have it.... one of the best buses i have  had the pleasure to work on, it look stunning at its first show and if I can help you do your bus from a complete  re upholster like the above to a simple repair.
